Representatives from Venezuela's leftist government and the opposition leaders resumed talks in the Dominican Republic on Friday in an attempt to reach an agreement to help ease the political tensions across the country amid the ongoing economic crisis, according to Reuters. The two sides left empty-handed last December when the previous round of talks fell through, citing that they made some progress but still needed more time. Expectations on both sides are set fairly low among Venezuelans.
