|James Blunt Recalls Getting Drunk With Ed Sheeran in an 'Old Brothel'|
Added: 29.03.2017 16:31 | 18 views | 0 comments
James Blunt once got drunk with Ed Sheeran in an "old brothel".
The 43-year-old singer-songwriter and Ed, 26, are poised to spend three months on tour in the US, but James has promised there won't be a repeat of their previous shenanigans after an awards ceremony in Australia.
He shared: "I'm touring for three months in America with Ed Sheeran, who I watched play the Teenage Cancer Trust's gig at the Royal Albert Hall in London last night. He seems to be doing all right.
"Then I start my own world tour, kicking off around Europe and the UK in October.
"But me and Ed are going to take ourselves very seriously, it's all about work. It won't be a repeat of that time we got really drunk at an after-party following an Australian awards ceremony."
At the party, James stumbled home after returning from a trip to the toilet to find that all of the guests, including Ed, had gone.
He told The Sun newspaper: "It was in an old brothel, a non-functioning one. We were hammered. I went to the loo and when I came out, the whole place, which had been full of 1,000 people, was totally empty. Even Ed had gone. I went out and the sun was up and I stumbled home."
Meanwhile, James claimed recently that he and Ed made up the story about Princess Beatrice cutting Ed's face with a sword.
The pair hit the headlines in November when it was reported that Ed had been struck in the face with a sharp weapon by the royal as she was pretending to 'knight' fellow musician James at a party at the Royal Lodge in Windsor.
But the 'You're Beautiful' hitmaker has since said they fabricated the story in order to cover up the fact that Ed had simply cut himself whilst drunk.
James explained: "Ed was drunk, messing around, and he cut himself. We made a fancy story up; people fell for it. It was very embarrassing."
|Billie Lourd Missed Carrie Fisher Memorial|

Billie Lourd did not attend a memorial service in honor of her late mother Carrie Fisher and grandmother Debbie Reynolds.
The 'Scream Queens' actress decided to skip the public event at Forest Lawn cemetery - where her family members were laid to rest in January after passing away within days of one another in December - on Saturday (03.25.17) in favor of having dinner with her father, Bryan Lourd, and boyfriend Taylor Lautner at Catch in Los Angeles.
A source told the New York Post newspaper's Page Six column that the 24-year-old actress seemed in "good spirits" at the restaurant and the group "made a quiet exit" after they'd finished dining.
Meanwhile, at the service, Carrie's brother Todd Fisher, spoke out and described their mother Debbie's passing as a "beautiful exit".
He said: "When Carrie died, my mother decided to change her plans a bit. My mother always said to me, 'I never want to go to my daughter's funeral service. I would like to be buried with Carrie.' I didn't know she was going to leave us that very next day and when she looked at me to ask permission to leave, she said she wanted to be with Carrie, and she closed her eyes and went to sleep. It was a beautiful exit."
The memorial also included a tribute song written by James Blunt, a close friend of Carrie's.
He did not attend the service, but the song accompanied a video montage.
Todd revealed he decided on a public memorial because his mother would have wanted her fans to be involved.
He said: "The public is invited because that's how my mother would want it. She was very connected to her fans and felt they were a part of her, so we're opening it to the public."
The service was also livestreamed on Debbie's website.

All art is open to interpretation, and any range of interpretations are valid. Except in the case of James Blunt’s “You’re Beautiful.” Blunt is pretty clear that y’all utterly botched that one. Because while the song has a reputation for treacly, romantic schmaltz, it is, in fact, the narrative of

A public memorial service in honour of Carrie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds will feature music and dance tributes to the iconic stars.
The 'Star Wars' actress and her mother passed away within days of one another in December, and though they were laid to rest in a private funeral service, fans will now get their chance to pay their last respects on March 25.
According to TMZ, the memorial will be held at a 1,200-seat theater at Forest Lawn cemetery, where the pair are buried, and will include a musical tribute from Carrie's close friend James Blunt.
While the 'You're Beautiful' singer won't be performing, a new song he's written in honour of his late pal will be debuted as a photo montage is broadcast, Carrie's brother Todd told the website.
Also planned for the service is a dance tribute from the Debbie Reynolds dance school, and a musical performance from the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.
Additionally, costumes and memorabilia from the 'Singin' in the Rain' star and her famous daughter's movie sets will be on display.
Carrie's daughter, Billie Lourd, will be in attendance but won't address the audience because it is "too emotional" for her to give a speech.
And guest of honour will be Carrie's beloved dog Gary.
Todd announced in January that the public service would be taking place this month.
He said at the time: "We will be celebrating their lives with friends, family members, and the people who loved them, you. The service will begin at 1:00 PM and immediately afterwards, those who want to walk to their final resting place are welcome to do so.
"There are a limited number of seats available, and it will be on a first come first come, first seated basis, There are no tickets, it is first come, first seated. There will be room for overflow in the huge lobby as well as the outside with screens to watch and hear the service."
